Stuartfield Bowling Club


Formed in 1960, the club meets at their outdoor bowling green situated within the pleasure park. The club meets regularly between April and September, with "hat-night" competitions on Wednesdays and Sundays 7 to 9pm (visitors are always welcome).  League matches against clubs from surrounding villages are played on Monday nights during May and June.

This year the club is celebratating it's 50th Aniversary.  We will be sending invitations to other groups in the village to join us in a friendly challenge match.

2011 Green Opening 

The opening of the green for the 2011 season took place on 24th April.  On a perfect day for bowling, Kath Greig's team won the opening challenge match 33 shots to 15.  Light refreshments were also provided by Kath.  The day concluded with Manson thanking every one who worked on the recent improvements to the clubhouse and wishing us a successfull season.

2011 League Campaign

Stuartfield finished the league campaign in beating Ellon B by 75 shots to 30 to finish 6th in the table.

Top 10 Knockout Competition

Stuartfield have been drawn an home to meet Peterhead Victoria in the first round of the top 10 competition.  The match will take place on Monday 25 July. 

 

Hill o' Dens 

Norman welcomed members and guests to the club for the annual 'Hill o' Dens' competition on Sunday 12 June.  The weather was kind which contributed to an enjoyable days bowling and socialising.  Congratulations to Ian Grant who defeated Manson Park in the final.

Invitation Event

Seven bowlers welcomed six members of Stuartfield Community Association to a friendly night of bowling.  The evening, which was enjoyed by all, concluded with light refreshments.
